Our Backstage Seats at Mohegan Sun Show

Post by pasnyder »

We attended last Friday's show at Mohegan Sun. Our seats costs $66 each and we were on the top row, backstage. While we could see clearly, the sound was absolutely horrendous. No speakers were facing our way and it sounded like the music was playing in another room. We know his songs by heart, but you could barely distinguish which one was playing. We were so bummed out, we'll never buy backstage seats again. Those seats should never have been sold.

Sorry to hear that Pauline.. I had those same exact seats for a Tim McGraw concert a few years back and the sound was great.. Wish you could have enjoyed it a little more..

We were at the same show and were in sect 106 right next to the stage but in the last row of the balcony. Nobody could understand what JB was saying in between songs. I just got the cd of the show (which obviously wasn't recorded from anywhere near my seats) and realize just how much I missed.

We had a great time and we all knew the music but the sound up in the balcony of that arena absolutely stinks. BTW, my tix cost $156 each so you got a bargain not to hear what was going on

i was behind thet stage in section 121. and yes i couldnt make out what he was saying most of the time, and the sound of the music was ehh...ok. The seats were crappy, but with the arena being so small we were pretty close to the stage, even if it was behind it

I was in Section 26, about 15 rows up beside the stage, and WE had trouble hearing when he was talking.... looks like unless you were directly in front of speakers, you couldn't hear well at all

I was up behind stage too but couldn't take it anymore. My hubby and I ran (literally) all the way down to the floor...nobody stopped us...and sat in row 7 on the right from Come Monday through the end of the first sat. Then we bodly placed ourselves 2nd row center for the rest. I gotta say JB was probably stoked that we were there because all these comp-receiving ticket holders were SITTING...yes I said sitting...the whole time!!! It was a sin...and no offense to anyone else nearby who were also loving life like we were but we were so grossly outnumbered it was pathetic. I got a pic and my husband did, too and I knew Jimmy KNEW we were there and it was the greatest show ever but what a sin that all these seemingly apathetic people were right up front.
I never had a better show and I only pray I do again!!!!

I was in Sec 27 - one of the "3 row sections". The sound of the music wasn't bad but I had a hard time hearing what Jimmy was saying between songs. The seats were great and I would buy that section again. I also noticed the first several rows and lack of enthusiasm and hawaiian shirts. SInce it was a casino show I expected that. Would have loved to trade seats with any one of them though!

i had phriends who were behind the stage. They said they could hear the songs alright, but they couldn't make out what he was saying between songs. They did say that the whole band turned around and played SOASOAS to the "backstage" crowd and that periodically the Coral Reefers played to the Backstage crowd also.

Sometimes more than others,
we see who and what and where we are,
I'm just a one man band,
With my feet in the sand,
Tonight I just need my guitar
