Jimmy thank you for all the great times and mostly the memories you have given my family and I over the years.
I will especially NEVER forget when you played my youngest daughter's favorite song 'Knees of My Heart' and she danced in the isle the entire song with her friend. It was and still is her favorite song. That same year you turned on my oldest daughter to 'It's My Job' with you and Mac. To this day that is her first request when we jump in the car. The evening on the lawn in Camden with my youngest daughter on my shoulders and you played 'Far Side Of The World' and 'Sailing To Philadelphia'. And than just this month when we took our youngest to his very first Buffett concert in Toronto. He said it was loud You also provided my wife and I with our wedding song back in '89, ' Bigger Than The Both Of Us'. It still works for me.
Also, my employer thanks you for 'Cowboy In The Jungle'. It has saved them a ton of money on mental health bills that I otherwise would have incurred them. And yes bubble wrap does work
We've gotta roll with the punches
Learn to play all of our hunches
Makin' the best of whatever comes your way
Forget that blind ambition
And learn to trust your intuition
Plowin' straight ahead come what may.
Love and thanks for years of unbridled joy as your music provides the soundtrack for our lives. From the Lapoile River, Rose Blanche and North Bay at Salmonhole, and some fly-fishing Newfoundland style, to our road trips to GW and every day, winter and summer here in Nova Scotia, we are proud to call you one of our own! We'll even share you with Montana and the Gulf! Long may your big jib draw!

there has been more than enough and around here lately . .
I think it's time to send Jimmy some love . .
Which makes me wonder, when did offering some honest criticism become something to be frowned upon? I'm a longtime Buffett fan and chances are, I always will be but I see nothing whatsoever the matter with the discussion of things that may not make some fans happy as well as the things that do. If this were nothing but a fan love web site it would become pretty boring real quick.
Just some positive energy thats all Jahfin............
Perhaps, but I see nothing at all the matter with constructive criticism.
I’m now a second generation parrothead, and have grown up listened to you and your stories. Jimmy you have made the winters not so cold and the summers just right. I want to thank you for the invitation to this party I have been attending for the last 20 years. My fiancé is now growing her own pheathers and I will be sure to pass the invite to my children for them to enjoy also.
I don't think I've said too much negative about you on this board or anywhere for that matter but I thought you deserved even more love.
I just wanted to tell you that you have guided me for many years and taught me much about life, love, and luck. I can't even begin to count the memories, lessons, laughs, tears, drinks, or dances.
It would be safe to say I've never felt this way about any other man.. I mean musician.
I spread the love of your songlines to others as much as I can. The past two years have caught me teaching my young neice to love you and believe me, its a very easy sell. She wants you to tell Kermit hello for her and requests that I play that carribean frog song one more time. lol
I've only gotten to see you live for a few years now and I hope you have a few more in you. I will dearly miss the live shows when you stop. However, I will never stop playing your music even when you retire from touring.
It is inspiring to read your bio's and your writings. I can only hope I make as much of my life as you have done. I wish you and your family the best retirement any sailor could have.
P.S. Please wave to me next time you fly over the atlantic seaboard!
I got a carribean soul I can barely control and I gotta go where it's WARM!
