Did anybody on BN ever get lucky and snag front (or second or third) row tickets to a Buffett concert? If so, how did you get the tickets?

I scored 2 2nd row orch. pit in Irvine, Ca. a few years back. They were the 2 end seats, which were actually better than the middle. The first few rows were actually half circles, so our seats ended up being about 3 feet from the stage. Best concert ever for me!!! I even ended up with a Peter Mayer guitar pick
Anyway, when the tickets went on sale, I drove about 100 miles away from the venue to a ticketmaster, was 2nd in line and the rest is history.

our very first concert-Alpine Valley. Five of us got 2nd row---I was too new at this to completely realize just how special that was!
And no trick to how we did it-just the luck of the draw-was at a local ticketmaster outlet with someone that was extremely fast on the computer.

Re: Front Row Tickets
3rd Row - Nashville - April 19, 2003 Tiki Time Tour
The concert where Alan Jackson, Kenny Chesney, Todd Snyder all showed up and I think Keith Sykes too
They were great seats... we were right in front of Utley which put us about 30 feet from Jimmy... cause the stage was only maybe 5 feet in front of us (front row was not a "full" row... so it felt like 2nd row)
Got 'em through a ticket broker over in Atlanta... saw an add he had for some on ebay the day tix went on sale... I missed out being quick enough in line at Publix and we had a person at home on computer and 4 phone lines going between us all (3 cells and 1 land line)...(we all walked away from lawn tix that were offered - we were determined to get up front)
So when I got back home I started runnin the ebay searches... saw this guys add... emailed him... he gave me his number and I called him... he told me he was still waiting for one guy to get back in the office with some... guy came in with 3rd row... the broker sold 'em too me over the phone that day and was willing to cut a "deal" since it was still same day... I didnt realize he ACTUALLY HAD (for a broker) until at the concert chatting with the people next to us - they got theirs from the same guy and they had paid twice what we did
I PAID OUT THE ASS - SHAMEFULLY OUT THE ASS
But it was worth EVERY penny... and if I had it to spend again - I would!!

MASON!!!! I just had a whole thing written up and then my pc crashed!!! I was gonna say......San Jose last year! A fellow BN'er, Mason, had 2nd row seats and was so very kind enough to trade me seats for the WHOLE 2nd half of the show!!!!! So I should thank both Mason (Alan) and phsoccol (Jason) for being so kind........mason wrote:san jose last year. second row. thank you jason

I have 2nd row this year to Philly. Got lucky and found someone with Phillies season tickets. Apparently they were offered to them first.Zanzibar wrote:Hello all![]()

Then we were probably right behind you! My brother has a connection to JB's "organization". Let's just say . . . a fishing connection!aeroparrot wrote:I got front row seats once for Buffett at Great Woods back in 1998.

I had front row at great woods a few years back . I bought the ticket from someone in the parking lot. The ticket was behind the sound board. Well the previous concert they had problems with people dropping drinks near the sound board. So they moved the whole row to the front row.
I've also had 2 and 3 rd row a couple of times. Through TM or a ticket agency

Cool. I think it was 1998, it could have been 1996 or 1997 as well but it was one of those three years.tikitatas wrote:Then we were probably right behind you! If you want an experience, go to a Jimmy Buffett concert.
Experience is something you don't get until just after you need it.
