Have you heard Chris Bellamy from down North Caroline way? IF so, I need help picking out a CD. I like his sound but can not make a decision from a half dozen mp3. www.chrisbellamy.com

I would be interested in your opinion of his CD's:
1) Blue Water World
2) Down in the Keys
3) Island Fever/Sandbar Party
4) Life in a Beach Town

Any help would be appreciated.
Thanks
POTP

Although I have heard of him I've never heard his music. I first became aware of him through his friends in Scearce and Ketner, another Buffett-influenced North Carolina band. Who, by the way have an excellent new album out called Live Crabs.

* Edited to add - Chris Bellamy also appears on several Scearce and Ketner albums

I have Down in the Keys and Island Fever/Sandbar Party.

Down in the Keys is pretty good. Some live stuff, very mellow, kind of jazzy.

Island Fever/Sandbar Party seems to be a combination of two early releases. It is just Chris and his guitar. A ton of tracks, some of which I like a lot.

Overall, I like them both. I prefer Down in the Keys, but it is not as upbeat as some other Buffett style artists.
