Buffett to Appear in the movie Hoot

Jimmy Buffett will have a small role in the movie Hoot according to an article in the Orlando Sentinel: Tale's ending? It's a 'Hoot'

Zak Dahlheimer earned a $1,000 scholarship and $1,000 for his school by penning an alternative ending to Hiaasen's novel, his first aimed at youth. ... Zak will travel to Fort Lauderdale July 21 and 22 to play a classroom extra in the film, which is scheduled to be released in spring 2006, said Ernie Malik, the film's publicist. <b>Singer Jimmy Buffett is co-producing the film and will play Zak's teacher.</b>

The writer of the article has the last paragraph wrong.

Mullet Fingers is not the bad boy bully. He is the hero of the book and is more like a juvenile Skink.

Can't wait to see JB portray a teacher. I think he would be a great teacher who could develop critical thinking skills in his students in real life. He just has that way of quietly making noise. :wench:
