Two of the biggest rappers to come out of the West coast scene have announced plans to tour together in 2006. Rap legends Snoop Dogg and Dr Dre will be hitting the road next year in support of each artist’s individual solo release. Snoop is reportedly appearing on Dr Dre’s album, which is in production right now and is bringing in Dre to help produce some of the tracks off his upcoming album.
Dr. Dre, who is widely recognized as one of the greatest producers in the rap industry today, first worked with Snoop Dogg in 1992 for the Deep Cover movie soundtrack. In 2000, the two got together for the successful “Up in Smoke Tour”, which also featured Eminem.
Snoop Dogg is also reportedly involved in the upcoming re-union album from Tha Dogg Pound, which is set for release sometime next year.
