Loggins & Messina @JB

Well it's not quite JB@JB but I guess there's likely a few sailing tunes. A bunch of us old timers will be sitting in. Just hope I'm still awake for Pooh Corner. Any chance the boys will do a couple of Poco tunes?

Loggins & Messina @ JB

Well I wasn't running off to the Talkhouse, or Martha's Vineyard or any other place last nite. I had two orchestra tickets to see Loggins & Messina and what an incredible show. These guys are great with great back-up musicians on bass, saxophone, fiddle & dobro. They had the crowd standing for all there big hit songs. This was old school by musicians who know how to sing and play. Messina provided You Better Think Twice and an old Richie Furay tune to salute Poco. An incredble light show and the 8:30 start show ended at curfew. A magical nite of music & song. Yes they did Pooh Corner, Danny's Song, Your Mamna Don't Dance, Angry Eyes, Vahevala & Peace of Mind. But there was so much more to establish they had the chops in a world full of lvegi-weight artists.

The last sailing song made me think this sounds like a Buffett tune. Thanks to Charlie & Joann for copping 11 tickets and for Mrs Goodman for accompanying me.

Now I can stand the wait until nerxt year when JB honors his promise and returns home to Jones Beach.

Thanks for the review. Always been a Loggins & Messina fan, unfortunately I can't say much for their subsequent solo careers.
