Chronic Lyricosis
I brought my brother to Great Woods this year for his first Buffett concert. We had a fantastic day and he had a great time at the concert. After the concert walking back to the car he was singing Volcano. I had to ask him to stop and repeat the line and this is how it went “I don’t know, I don’t know, I don’t know where I’m a gonna go when the bars gonna close”. After I stopped laughing I told him the real words.
So my question is there have to be other Buffett lyricosis stories. I got such a laugh out of this, I would love to hear others.

There are some I have heard and some I had said when I first started to get into Buffett. I wish I rememberedSharky wrote:I brought my brother to Great Woods this year for his first Buffett concert. BTW, I like your brother's lyrics though.
If you want an experience, go to a Jimmy Buffett concert.
Experience is something you don't get until just after you need it.
Life is short, live long!!
I'd rather be a wiseass than a dumbass.

Riding down the road in Charleston with my best friend....and we may have been drinking rum...
and she is singing and yelling out the window..."Dance to the left, Dance to the Right....."
Yep..she really thought that is what he was saying....

And Lord it's a good place for hangin' out .."

I actually sing that exact pop-tart line to my kids because they love pop tarts so much - they think it's quite funny. Good to hear I'm not the only one who does this (but I've always known what the real words are).
How about this one I heard years ago: "I know I should be leaving this climate. I got a burst of kin Rummy. I gotta go where it's warm." I think they thought he was singing about a type of rum or some alcoholic drink. What do they think, that all PH's do is drink????

For years I've been plugged into blenders and songs.

I wasn't at Great Woods this year, or I'd take the blame. I always sing it that way...LOUD
