Lenny Kravitz is so keen to protect his voice from cigarette smoke; he demanded bosses at a London club introduce a smoking ban when he dropped in with some friends.

The rocker paid a visit to the British capital's exclusive Kabaret's Prophecy venue on Wednesday night - and a host of stars including Goldie Hawn and her daughter Kate Hudson were subjected to his wishes.

A spokesperson for the nightspot says, "At Lenny's request the club banned smoking from all areas except the bar, in order to protect his voice. We always try to accommodate our guests."
