I'd Just Like To Own Something New ( revised alittle )

Well, I'm back again with a little parody of " Why Don't We Get Drunk and Screw " .
The story behind this one happened last weekend at one of our friends house. Now this couple must have felt particularly brave in their younger years as they have 5 children now. Hand me downs, needless to say, are a staple in this family and that particular night, I overheard the youngest complaining how he never got anything new.
Well, it may have been the way he said it or the musical inflection I seemed to hear from it, but you know how my mind works....and yes, I wrote a song about it. Enjoy!
Goes alittle something like this.....

Brother, I really appreciate this beautiful, second hand lawn mower
Even with the muffler gone
And lights that don’t light no more
I’m sure I can find a carburetor, and a rear tire that will do
Lord, I just wish I could own something new
