Perverted old man....

Hey, get your facts straight.....Larry's not (that) old!

The CHPC hosts a huge tailgate party before the show every year in a near by forest preserve. Obviously there is no tailgating or parks in the area, so they are having it at a bar. Below is the link to the invitation.

There is also another tropical bar about 8 blocks from Wrigley which is hosting a tailgate party that includes food, booze, entertainment and transportation to and from Wrigley. Here are the details on that
http://www.tradertodd.com/
I have know idea what we are going to do. I hate to stand in a crowded bar for four hours being spilled on and not able to move around or party while running up a $400 bar tab. I think we may jsut see if we can get by walking around wrigley cooler in tow. We could call it progressive tailgating!!

I'm really, really torn about whether to do one of the bar events, or to do a self-made pub crawl through wrigleyville.
Or to do one of the bar events Sunday, and the pub crawl on Monday. Or vice versa.
Ah, decisions, decisions.
any insight from, well, anyone? Do either of the bars having events have a better (0r any) outside atmosphere? For $20 more, is the one bar including drinks (or better specials?)

Here's my 2 cents. The thing that is making me lean away from one of the bar events is the timing. The one's I've seen for Sunday are from 2 to 6. Gates for Wrigley open at 3:30 I believe on Sunday. I don't think you'd want to wait any later than 4 o'clock at the bar. That's really only 2 hours of partying, and in my way of thinking, probably not worth it. But that's me.

Trader Todd's has an out door bear garde / tiki bar that probably seats 100 people. Headparrot brings up a good point. The party at Trader Todds does not start until 2pm, where as the CPHC party starts at 10 a.m., however does not include drinks. Monday should make for a much easier decesion on where / what to do after being there on Sunday.

From a good friend of mine:
Planning to go to the show on Sunday and looking for someplace to drink during the day that doesn't involve lines to get into bars and long waits for overpriced drinks?
If so, e-mail me and I can provide info about a backyard party at my place with a fun group of people - some ParrotHeads, some not - looking to meet others who are going to the show later. Her place is right off Addison, a quick bus ride to Wrigley
Over 21 only, please.
