There, honey . . . they've been having you on.

Thank you for spoiling it !!!!
I was just about to reel her in and confess it....
Sy , Don't feel bad...but I could mnot resist when BEG brought it up.....
It is based on a true conversation I had with a peace-nik that was camped outside of our gate..... She told me of all the various causes she had protested for and how she wanted to protect the enviroment... after listening to the save this and save that and save blah blah... I was thinking how gulible can she possibly be. I brought up "naugas" and their plight, and she had never heard of them. ( GEE I wonder why??) I gave her more or less the same spiel I posted above.......she ate it up and said she would get right on it and would go back to her main group and start a letter writing campaign.......and thanked me for informing her of such a cute little loveable cuddly creature. Wind wind wind wind ( as in reeling in) I can only imagine the look on her face when she or they figured it out.....
My apologies to you as I was only pulling your leg and I hope you took it in the good nature that I intended...If you took offense I apologize.
Blame BEG ....it is her fault she asked me to tell you about "naugas" !!!
Now have you heard about "esthers" ?

I have a wireless router at my house and also at Eric's.....there are about 4 available when I go to connect, but always connect to my own...is there a fast way to set mine up secure? I got lost in all the jive trying to read this to see if it was discussed or not....
Easiest and quickest way is to go into the web interface of your router and set up a 128bit encryption key and have it automatically generated. You'll have to copy it down and put it in on the machine(s) you want to connect with, but that's the quick and dirty way to do it. There's a ton more to do with turning off and on ports, redirection, etc, but I'm way to tired to type all of that right now and make any sense

that's exactly what I meant by security key.

This might be of use to someone....
This is from today's Kim Komando's Newsletter:
AT LAST! EASY WIRELESS SECURITY
Wi-Fi networking was a great invention. But it has always had a serious
problem: security. Encryption has been available, but it has been less
than reliable. And it's often hard to set up.
Linksys has announced that wireless routers and access points now have
security at the press of a button. Furthermore, owners of older
equipment can upgrade it for the system, called SecureEasySetup.
If you own a Linksys router or access point, select your model number
at the link below. Then, you will see any available updates to it.

Hopefully, other manufacturers of wireless equipment will adopt this
technology. It will be a boon for their customers.
