For eveyone, was my pleasure to help out and keep everyone informed about the shows. I have to give credit to Cindy Lou for showing me what it means to be a BN venue/city/show social director, she is and always will be the Queen of Nissan.
Just glad I could return the favor for Philly

our group had a great time and all of our tailgating neighbors were a blast. if you were in lot M we probably stopped by your site. we the the ones trying to unload the 40lb bags of ice.
when we got down there around noon, our ice was already in pretty bad shape. the beer was warm in the morning and I guess our ice just wasn't up for the task. our keg was buried in snow from the ice rink, but that was melting fast as well. We panicked for a moment but then got the idea to call Jim's. it's an icehouse nearby. they said they'd deliver the ice to us, but we had to buy 20 bags. thats twenty 40lb bags, 800lbs of ice!
they showed up with 5' tall a pallet of ice in the back of a pickup. it was priceless. more importantly, our beer was frosty all day long. we sold what we could and played with the rest.

It was great seeing everyone this weekend. I won't try and name everybody because I know I'll forget some people (I'm old) but I have to thank Port & Mrs. Port for their hospitality and Tom for being about the only other Mets fan in a sea of Yankees and Red Sox fans.
So when do we get to do it again?

It was great to meet everyone. Blackjack, thanks for all the ribs! You da man. I'm still curious how your buddies got home, b/c their ship had sailed way before concert time....
Thanks to everyone for making my wife feel like part of the gang. She hears all those stories about "Internet Killers," and, well, her mind just races....
And whoever made the green jello shots...yum! I had to cut my wife off at 5 so she could still stand...

They "napped" for a time during the show and left midway. Both made it home safely and, now that they've been broken in, vow to return.ColdWaterConch wrote:It was great to meet everyone. Cooch's excuse was that the "Parrot Bay" must've been "bad" because he and the other two drinking it got sick!
Great times, as usual.
BTW, did anyone else have a grill "removed" during the show? I wasn't too upset, but the guys next to us had a portable gas grill liberated while they were in the stadium. I'm assuming it was one of Philly's fine scrap collectors, because they left his plastic stand and only took the metal part.

Special thanks to MA_Buffett_Fan23. Christina, you are an excellent tour guide. Thanks for introducing me to everyone.
And a lifetime debt of gratitude to pir8_200yrs2late. Mark, Joanne and Michelle, you are all some of the finest people a guy could hope to meet. Thanks for making this first road trip one that will be difficult to top.
You are all the people your parents warned you about.
And my liver still hurts.

Thankfully no body slams... But my knees are pretty banged up for playing slip n' slide in the rain, but that's because of my own drunken stupidity. It was getting a little hairy down in the front during the concert though.. Then when I tried to make it back to my seat after visiting with the sound guy during intermission, the aisles were packed with people, so I ended up watching the second half from a nice comfy spot in the sound booth... Would have much rather been dancing down front, but what can you do....MA_Buffett_Fan23 wrote:mine too but did you get body slammed into the row below you?!?!?! I think I'm just getting old and my body can't handle all the partying anymore... I think it's trying to tell me to take a few months off... TILL VEGAS!!!!!!

Nice to see most of us got back in one piece. Sure was a good time my virgin has vowed to come back to as many as he can next year. Hope to see some of you guys in Vegas!
If people leave stuff out after they head into the show they are just asking for it to be taken. We always lock our stuff up before we go in. It was a few years ago we learned our lesson at GW.

Thanks for the kind words LFP. We were happy to meet you too and really enjoyed your company. I just wish I could have made the trip over to Lots M & N with you to meet some of the other BN'ers, but I was too busy trying to get the grill started and figuring out how to drain the water out of our food and supplies (only thing worse than watered down food is watered down beer and booze). We'll have to catch up with the rest of you at another show.Left Field ParrotHead wrote:Thanks to everyone for a great time on Saturday. It was nice to meet all of you.

Oh, and my liver is only partially sympathetic to your plight 'cause of it's own horrendous condition and because I think it remembers those 'rita's you mixed up for me.
Hopefully we'll get to see/meet you all again soon.
Is it ignorance or apathy?
Hey, I don't know and I don't care.
