sorry to jump in the middle of the lovefest but have ya'll seen "Dead Man"? It came out in the mid 90s and it was weird (that's a suprise right?) but I liked it. "From Hell" (about Jack The Ripper) was also great.

On a side note,
I hear that soon he'll start on Hunter Thompson's "The Rum Diary"

I started out watching 21 Jump Street. You all have listed alot of movies I forgot about. Once Upon a Time in Mexico. Johnny Depp and Antonio. Good flick. I like Secret Window. As a hopeful mystery writer I can relate a bit. Plus I like that his acting is more toned down in it and the nerdy look is hot.
Pirates is still my favorite and I'm definitely looking forward to the seques. Keith Richards should be interesting too. I know alot of ladies like that other guy in Pirates but he's too young and perfect for me. Johnny just is more real.

"Nick of Time" was good and prolly one of the most "normal" movies he's done.
His demise in the original Nightmare on Elm Street was pretty sweet too

I have to say the movie, "Pirates of the Caribbean" was HORRIBLE!!! Dep came off as a gay pirate vs. a drunk one.... not that there is anything wrong with that... :-?

Going to see Wonka tomorrow... Dep was great in many, many, many movies but THAT one... upchuck. :x

I think this will be a great movie! I'm also looking forward to the two new Pirates of the Caribbean movies that are in the works now.

Dally wrote:Secret Window is a great movie, IMHO. It's a good watch, it just has some freaky twists and turns. :o
I agree...I really liked Secret Window. Fear and Loathing...was a great movie also. The movie itself wasn't all that interesting or really that good...but Depp's acting while he was tripping was just hilarious and damn good. And Pirates of the Caribbean just rules all around :pirate:

Depp is one of those actors that can make any movie good....From Hell was good as well, and Blow. Christopher Walken is another guy who can make even a bad movie good 8)
