The Louies Backyard website...
...has Jimmys last name mispelled. You would think that if they were bragging about him frequenting the place, the could at least spell his name correctly.
I was just checking the place out because I'll be in Key West in a couple of weeks and thought I might try it.
Anyone have any input?

What he said, make sure you go for early cocktails, dinner, late cocktails....CaptainP wrote:It's a little pricier than the Duval-area type of restaurant. Entree prices in the $25 plus range. The food is fantastic, with a classy atmosphere. It's a great late-night hangout, grab a drink and listen to the waves crash on the shore!

I am thinking Camille's, if you need an Eye Opener, or the Southernmost Pharmacy for Cuban sammiches myself...CaptainP wrote:I dunno...the Bloodys there were pretty good for breakfast. Last year I finally made it to Louie's and have no desire to go back.
The locals at the bar outside were jerks, especially when they found out we were Parrotheads. I know it was just one day but the place seemed a little too uppity/polo shirt-ish for me (at least the attitudes were) but then I usually go for the rustic joints.

I agree. A group took me there last year for my birthday. The service was horrible, the food so-so and NOT worth the price. 4 little shrimp on a plate, nothing else, for $18. I still have about $40 on my gift certificate so I think we'll go there for drinks this year. It's a great place to sit outside and drink but I won't go back for dinner.sonofabeach wrote:Last year I finally made it to Louie's and have no desire to go back.
