Kids ruin all the fun they are always around. No but seriously, the guys I work with all have kids and look at me with no real responsibilities other than work they all say to stay single I have it made and not to have kids or get married. They point out I go to Buffett shows, on vacation whenever, scuba dive, fly planes, own my own house, drive a brand new SUV and don't spend $3000 on braces or wait up all night for the kids to get home and I stay out all night if I want. I don't see anything wrong with being married and not having kids. Just think when both of you work, make good money it's like being young, just playing house and having a best friend to do what ever when ever you want. Is that so wrong. Someday I will (get married) but no kids

and that is exactly why I don't have children

It's no so much a 'freedom', but that we don't want anything to interrupt or come between the relationship we currently have.

I admire and respect those with children, but it's just not for us
