I like them all, you can't go wrong. They all have a different feel. His most recent, In Between Dreams, is very good.

I love all of them.. Brushfire fairytales is a great album... Has bubbletoes on it, which is one of my favorite Jack Johnson songs! On & On, is also a great album. I've been listening the newest one, In Between Dreams, to death... I love banana pancakes! Such a great tune... Buy them all! Such great music!!

Go to jackjohnsonmusic.com general disscusion site and look for links to free live downloads and see what you like. His albums are
Brushfire Fairytales, On and On, and In Between Dreams. All his JB covers are live - PLAF, as well as lots of other good covers - Bad Fish - Remember etc. I too like them all. Wish I could have been in Chi. last night. DRR

I would suggest "On and On". It has "The Horizon Has Been Defeated" on it, which JB plays in concert these days. Really good lyrics on the entire album.

Most people are picking up "In Between Dreams" because it is the more current album. It is fantastic as well. I challenge anyone not to like the song "Sitting, Waiting, Wishing." Check out the video, which is pretty entertaining - http://www.jackjohnsonmusic.com/uploads/videos/sww.htm

You can tell he was a surfer from the video.
Buy the ticket, take the ride.

You need all 3
Jimmy stares
Towards the bright Pleiades
It's so strange
What his distant eye sees
Who knows why you start
Rediscovering your heart
But you do it again and again

You do need all three, but go for Brushfire Fairytales first just for the sake of chilling out to F-stop Blues.

Ya can't go wrong with Jack Johnson.
"And now you’re here and the search comes to an end... I’ve found my long lost friend."

"In all his deepest dreams the Gypsy flies with sweet Melissa..."

George Strait in June, Kenny Chesney in July, and Jimmy Buffett in August... Looks like a Great Summer!!!

Jimmy mentioned that Jack Johnson is playing in Boca Raton in Sept. Jimmy said 7th but it is the 6th and that there might be a repeat performance of Jimmy with Jack on A Pirate Looks at Forty.

Jack's on Letterman tonight!

To me, he's like a cross between John Mayer and Dave Matthews. Good lyrics, smooth beat, and just all around good stuff. 8)

Jack is great, but at 32 years old OMG I felt like a geezer at the Philly show last weekend. Aside from that, the show was terrific. Here's the setlist (don't shoot the messenger - if it's wrong it's because I got it from someone else):

During alo's set---Girl I Wanna Lay You Down
Never Know
Taylor
Do You Remember
SWW into Just What I Needed (Cars) back into SWW
Symbol In My Driveway
Staple It Together
Constellations---with dan from ALO
Breakdown(with Dan from ALO)
Tomorrow Morning
Bubble Toes
Wasting Time
Flake
Belle
Banana Pancakes
Two of us (Beatles)---with Matt Costa
Horizon Has Been Defeated
Badfish into Boss DJ
Inaudible Melodies
Good People
Farther Down The Road(You Will Accompany Me)(Taj Mahal)--with G Love
Ramble On (tease)---with G love
Rodeo Clowns---G Love
Who Do You Love(Bo Didley/George Thorgood)---G Love
Holiday---G Love
Mudfootball---G Love
Plastic Jesus into Fall Line
No Other Way
Times Like These
Rainbow---G Love
Better Together
