Yes, many times. I'm good friends with the founders, one of whom (no longer in the band) founded the very first parrot head club (Atlanta), PHIP, and organized the first MOTM in New Orleans in 1992. They are a great group, despite personnel changes.

Yes, i've seen'em a couple of times and actually got to know the lead singer Jeff Pike before a show here in Rome, Georgia. They are a lot of fun to listen to and very personable if you wanna go talk to them. I also sent Jeff some lyrics that I wrote and he turned it into a song "Chasing the Sun" so if he plays it, please tell me what you think, cause I haven't heard it yet.
Oh yeah, if ya talk to him ask him about "cooper's finger"...i swear he'll give ya a pretty good story
Now and then we had a hope that if we lived and were good, God would permit us to be pirates.

SInce we're on the topic of JB cover bands...

How about ParrotBeach (formerly known as Parrotville)?

They play in Jersey a lot and will be in OCMD while I'm there in 1.5 weeks.

Anyone know of them? Their website lists a ton of JB songs and I'm probably going to see them, but I'd like to know what to expect first.

A1A is a really good bad. I saw them quite a few times a few years ago down in Murrell's Inlet, South Carolina
Sunset Beach is my Margaritaville. Where there is endless beach, no time, and sunshine that seems to last forever. I know that Someday I Will.....Someday.

Who's got a list of their dates and places they're playing? I'm from Chattanooga, but live near Nashville now. Would love to see them. I'm planning on being in Athens and Atlanta several times in the next few months.

Jeff came over to the UK some months ago and dropped by my house, though he did'nt play he did tell us all about the shows A1A put on and for any band to play to several thousand people in the audience can't be too bad. And Jeff is a really nice person, and i look forward to seeing A1A as well as Jimmy when i hopefully get over next year :D

they are really an awesome cover band. I've seen them at least a dozen times, and not one time has been a bad experience. They like to party, and our Black Diamond Parrot Head Club had them play after our golf tournament two weeks ago. I just can't say enough about them!
So bless me father, yes I have sinned.
Given the chance I'll probably do it again
