Shooter Jennings
Has anyone ever seen Shooter Jennings live? He's playing here next week, and I'm trying to decide if I want to go or not. (it's on a school night

I saw shooter about 2 mo ago down in louisville, ky. dallas moore (www.dallasmoore.com) opened for him. Go see shooter. Especially if u like the album. he does a hell of a job and he's a pretty high energy performer. if u only want to go to hear 4th of july, dont waste ur time. he does play a couple of waylon tunes, when i went he played lonesome onry and mean, and i dont think hank done it this way. he played outlaw women by hank jr. he pretty well played the whole put the o back in country album and did the covers as well. shooter is one hell of a performer.
btw, if u ever get a chance to see dallas moore, DO IT! Ive seen him open for David Allan Coe and Shooter Jennings, and then a show by himself. Performers do not get much better. he is to country what buffett is to rock. imagine stirring up a pot with some country kid rock, and hank jr with a shitload of attitude and u get dallas moore. most of his shows are in ohio but i live just south of chicago and it is well worth the drive.

Got my tickets tonight. Can't wait for Thursday.TikiTom wrote:GoodIlph wrote:I talked my girlfriend into it! We're going Thursday to the Shooter Jennings concert!![]()
. I saw him open for Toby at PNC in July... he only played four songs but he was good. I know he played Put the O back in Country, Southern Comfort, 4th of July and one other. You'll have fun, he's a good performer.

No, his real name is Waylon Albright Jennings Jr. but Shooter was a childhood nickname given to him by Waylon and Jessi.TikiTom wrote:On a side note... is Shooter really his name?? If you ever get the chance to go see Shooter Jennings.... GO. It was amazing last night. There was maybe 200 people there, and my girlfriend and I ended right up on the stage and even snagged a set list. He did three Waylon songs, and a lot from the album. He played four about 90 minutes, but it was all music. No stopping to pimp the album or anything like that. One song blended into the next. Well worth the money. Now, if I only didn't have to go to work this morning.

Listed in the Boston Herald...
SHOOTER JENNINGS: Nov. 10, The Paradise, 967 Commonwealth Ave., Boston. Tickets: $12; 617-423-NEXT or www.nextticketing.com
Waylon's boy inherited more than good looks and a fine head of hair from his daddy. On his fiery debut, ``Put the `O' Back in Country,'' Shooter makes loud outlaw country music that would make everyone from his Uncle Willie to the boys in Skynyrd proud.

I saw Shooter last night in Clifton Park, New York... he was awesome (that is, when he finally came on at 10, when the ticket said show starts at 7:30).
A couple things of importance here: his next single/video on CMT is going to be Steady At the Wheel, and April 1st or 4th is the date his next album is due out.
