But go ahead, play high and mighty, continue to be a fat twat, and continue to flame away.
Wow. You've really elevated your approval ratings around here with that remark.

I would suppose you would lump Frank (rednekk) and myself into this supposed 'clique' you so despise. Have you ever taken a moment to notice how frequently him and I disagree? If you haven't, it happens... ALL THE TIME. He's an a**hole and has some really pigheaded and moronic opinions. He probably thinks I'm a total flake. But you know what, we get along great and I love him dearly... not because we are in a 'clique', but because we are mature and have mutual respect for each other.

You, on the other hand, are just a jerk. Maturity and mutual respect don't apply to you & your responses.

This perplexes me. Someone makes an innocent statment and gets attacked because of what they said on a whole different issue.

(In my best Texas accent) Today on Dr. Phil we have some people who can't let something go from one conversation when having another one.
Now I have books, and I have tapes, maybe you've read my book If You Can't Change the Subject, You Need to Change Your Thinking, now available on CD. This has to do with getting caught up in your preconceived notions about someone, ok. An I think you need to read my books, buy my tapes and watch my show.
Now get out there and take on the day.

I thought long and hard about how I needed to respond to this. First, I did apologize both publicly in this thread and privately to you about my actions in this thread. Evidently you have overlooked that part.

I think it's quite silly of you to point out what I need to change about myself while simply not seeing the belligerent and outright mean-ness of the other poster involved. Sure, your thread was the catalyst for that coming to light, but I do not feel one bit bad about calling PG out for what he is. I can promise you with every ounce of what I know inside me that if you did not fit the mold in "real" life of what PG thought was worthy of his status, he would not have had such kind words to say about you. Namely, a person working in a fast food restaurant or someone stranded due to the hurricane.

You also failed to see I was one of the FIRST posters in this thread to actually provide you the information you were asking.

I call it like I see it, dude, but I am sincerely sorry it had to happen in your thread; merely a coincidence.

PS,
The wife and I stayed at the Sandals Regency on St Lucia for our honeymoon back in April of 04. We loved it. We spent a little time at the other two resorts through the Stay at One Play at 3 thing Sandals offers. We liked the Regency the best from what we saw of the other two.
Each resort has its own pros and cons. The Halcyon is the oldest and smallest of the 3 resorts and has the fewest restaurants. We ate dinner at the Pier one night. It was great and I recommend it.
The Grande was nice, but seemed more like a hotel then a resort in the way that the buildings were laid out. From what we were told the Grande is the newest acquisition on St Lucia for Sandals. I can't remember who used to run it before though. We spent the one morning at their beach, which is very nice and has very little surf. It also has a water trampoline, offers tubing, and water skiing right off the beach that the Regency does not. Unfortunalty the British pub was not open for lunch.
As I said before, we liked the Regency the best. The resort is spread out and seems less crowded then it probably really is. It is not too big that you feel lost however. They do have a couple of hotel style buildings, but they also have quite a few smaller buildings with rooms and suites. It seems more like a village then a hotel or even a resort. The Regency also has more places to eat then the other resorts. The beach is very big and has a little bit of surf. They also have the golf resort right on the premises. While we were there the Chairman of Sandals Gordon "Butch" Stewart stayed a couple nights at he Regency. We tok that as a good sign. We could have had a better room at the Halcyon for the same money as what we paid at the Regency. In the end we felt we made the right decision.
If you decide on St Lucia and can arrange it, fly into Castries (SLU) via San Juan, as it is much closer to the resorts then Hewanorra (UVF). The ride from Hewanorra is anywhere from about 70 to 90 min depending on the resort. From Castries it would say it is probably 10 to 20 min depending on the resort. The ride wasn't that bad from Hewanorra, but on the way back we opted for the helicopter ride.
Let me know if you need any more information.

Hope That Helps

A web site I have found most helpful in deciding on a resort. I do not take all reviews as 100% truth, but you can get a good idea after reading a few.

Give it a shot, it may help. I actually started with...

I love the Dominican Republic, but to each his own. Hope it helps.

BB,
My only intention in that post was to be silly, and poke a little fun at Dr. Phil. I really do appreciate your insight, and am starting to lean toward Tulum. I hope you know I was just goofing around.

Oh, and keep the info coming. Even after we pick our spot, this could be a great resource for BNers headred for the Caribbean.

I'd like to put in a vote for Adventura Palace. We've stayed in Moon, Beach, Xpu HA and have had a great time at all of them . The Mrs. and I spent a day at Adventura while staying at Xpu Ha and had a great time getting the Spa treatments . If your not into the Whole Zen, Yoga, Spa,
Health food, thing (which I'm not) Stay at Xpu Ha its set in a Eco Park
lots of animals and birds, great snorkeling in both the ocean and the cenote (re sink hole) If you haven't all ready check out www.palaceresorts.com

Thank ya dear. All is well.

When we were in PDC last June we never made it to Tulum (a little too many drinky drinks at the pool bar)...but it was high on our list of "what to do if we have nothing to do" places. :D It's simply gorgeous down there, and very affordable.

Oh, don't think THAT'S gonna happen, not for this November anyway! Xpu Ha Palace is closed indefinitely. They got blasted by Hurricane Emily and every palapa roof blew off, in addition to some structural damage. One the the crocks even ended up in the ocean at the Barcelo Maya next door...right near the beach! :o Reopening was supposed to be Nov. 1st, then Dec. 1st, but now there's talk of a land dispute, and that puts the reopening date in question, locals say it might not reopen at all.
Sad too, it was a pretty kewl place.
