If it was Sam's (Cindy Sheehan Thread) I was told by a moderator that the thread was going well and it was going to continue. Maybe it turned ugly after I chose to ignore the thread.

thanks, I didn't read that one. I think I initially answered the poll and made a small comment but I don't care enough to go back and see

We all know Sam, here at least, we all know he is passionate about his opinions. Some try to respect his opinions and some blatantly try to irritate him. I just wish that everyone would let everyone express their opinions without prejudice. Also, just because a thread is started (some of you know who you are) doesn't mean you HAVE to answer there. YES, I know it's a PUBLIC forum and you have the RIGHT but excersizing a little restrain goes a lot further.

The moddies DO HAVE A TOUGH JOB. I am a Moddy in several forums. I am quite and more than aware of the job.
I CAN HONESTLY SAY I DO TREAT PEOPLE /INCIDENTS IMPARTIALLY AND WITHOUT FAVOR.....and they are given an explanation when needed.
They ARE NOT blocled.locked, whatever becauses one persone suddenly decides to pull the trigger on the whole thing rather than he individuals.

Maybe that is the way it is done here.....

My point being ...the thread was up an locked... NO WARNING!!!.No one has admitted to it.
WHY didn't the the Moddy respond to the offensive parties???

I can use various other threads that have been hijacked and never been locked down.

Feel FREE to think it is funny if you like. Think whatever you like about my opinions. They are MY OPINIONS. They have as much value as yours do!
You don't have to like mine and I don't have to like yours nor do we have to like anyone else's!


Let me know when equal treatment applies to everyone equally around here....I know of numerous other threads that have been hijacked and are still open.

My point being either be fair to all or be fair to none....obviously we have the being fair to whoever is the favorite of the moment

If Moddies want to deserve a name of treating people fairly and equitably,,,then perhaps IF ALL MODDIES DID treat everyone as such then there would be no room for comment or question.... would there!

Thank your for the input....personally I would rather place a few shaped charges up someones lower posterior and allow them to clear their minds.

Meanwhile, it is ok.....s*** doesn't matter anyway....either people are as fair and what they claim to be......or they are not. I have seen it an experienced it FIRST HAND!!! From anti nuke protestors to things and events I would rather not think about.

I have seen and experienced the fairness and non objectivity in here......

It is not about ME. IT is about the way it was done. It is about all the hijacking and other BS going on all the time.

It is about how usually the same "usual suspects" ( using the term loosely,...one need only scroll back through the history of the "Off Topic" section and perhaps elsewhere in this forum ) are not openly reprimanded or chastised. Maybe they are done so in a PM or something...but they keep doing it, don't they? Again go back and look through the history. Again it is not about "ME".

My apologies to you and to my friends.
I know all to well, that being a Moddy is usually a thankless job and that you have to hear alot of abuse. Think of it like a policeman...look how much abuse they take everyday. A moddy is a policeman to a board/forum.A moddy is a peacekeeper....and yes a moddy is human and entitled to having flaws as any humans do.
HOWever as you well know, they also have a job to do...and while they may see it done one way...some are going to see it done another....

I have seen alot of deletions taking place in here.
How many locked threads have I seen in here??? I have not been through all the archives but this is the only one that I have seen in quite a few pages.....

What preventitive actions could have been taken? How about telling the individuals involved that are causing/creating the situation before it escalates to knock it off??? Then if they don't,... then knock THEM off...Use whatever ( starting with mininmum and escalate as justifiably warranted ) force needed that you are authorized or entitled to use to put a stop to it.

I admit hindsight is 20/20 and none of us are gifted with it beforehand.

There is this I can say ABOUT ME, at least I have backed off in here, when I see where a moddy says STOP!!!
Which is quite obviously something, that cannot be said about some others in here...
