I am pretty sure that HG and I will be driving
down. Are there any good Mexican restaurants
near the Rose Garden?

I will be there!

I have a ticket to Kona, Hawaii for that day... but I have another on hold now for the day after. Ticketmaster says it is happening, but the details (price) haven't been solidified.

I saw Salty Piece of Land in Las Vegas and Phoenix, so I hope he shakes the set up a bit.

I'd love to hear about Tailgate gatherings! Last time I was at the Rose Garden, I didn't really find any so we were at Cucina Cucina... but then Jimmy rode up on his bike and asked us why were were there so early...!!! It was the year he rode around every city and they played it in the show. He was jumping in the fountain there. The only time I didn't have an official tailgate... hmm!

Can't wait. Fins up!!!
I wanna go back to the Island...

Hey Bolt Man!!!

I can't believe that he picked that Thursday for Portland... I so wish he would have been up here on Tuesday and SD on Thursday. It would save me some $$$.

I just extended the Hawaiian Air reservation another 24 hours. My United flight (aleady booked and paid for) would be an additional $480 to change to the next day. NOPE!!! I'll keep a credit on United for another flight. Jimmy is worth the $100 change fee at a later date.

I was hoping he'd add us and Seattle before Vegas, then you and Irvine in the week between!

Pre-Party Gathering for Portland

Post by lochner4 »

Very cool place with excellent Happy Hour, Henry's Tavern. We can catch the Max to the concert and leave the cars parked in the Brewery Blocks parking lot. Last time we went to Buffet at the Rose Garden, they didn't let us tailgate.

Buffet!

Post by lochner4 »

Ha, Ha Buffet, way too late for me obviously. The restaurants in the Rose Quarter by the fountain all closed up :( We went to Kenny Chesney this summer and there was no where to party except inside. High prices and little selection but you can take booze to your seats. We will be going downtown to party and Maxing in.

Wow....the last time Buffett played there (in '02) they had "designated drinking areas" and you could not take anything to your seats......and yep, the prices were rediculously rediculous.

The last time he was @ the Rose Garden, the RG wouldn't let us do a party, but one of the nearby hotels did. I'm sure the NW PH Club will have something going on again. Sorry, I forget the name of the hotel, but it should be announced with plenty of time. It was over by Lloyd Center Shopping Center.

I'm in...... If we can figure out how to fly back from Vegas, pick up our kids (whom We promised to take to the very next NW show...) and then fly back down to ZVegas for the 2nd show there...... Now the only way to get it more frantic whould be if he annonces Sandy Eggo on the tuesday........

Hi Bolt Man, again.

Yes, I moved from Phoenix up to Portland almost a year ago. Happy to be here.

The Doubletree is right on the Max line and has a Mexican restaurant in the lobby. A group of people met there prior to the "Salty Piece of Land" Booktour, concert, movie thing last winter.

SOASOAPT -- it will be good to see you again. You looked Phabulous in Vegas and Phoenix earlier this year. I'm wondering how you've weathered the concert season.

AND, I keep moving my reservation on Hawaiian Air back a day. Pretty soon they are going to "block" me and I'll be a mess.

Beautiful Day in the City of Roses... wish I could leave work and get a few boat drinks....
I wanna go back to the Island...

See you in Boston, September 2nd!
