The car itself is OK. Just some damage to the front lights and a few scratches on the paint. Totally driveable. We own the car outright, so there's only liability insurance so since the person drove off, we really have no recourse other than to file a police report. Matt's gonna check the parking lot the next few days to see if he can figure out if it's a car that usually parks in that lot that did it. It was prolly a truck/suv of some sort based on where the damage was done.
This is the same car that had the license plates stolen off it a few months ago in a different parking lot. They later found our plates on a stolen car and dude was arrested.
Thanks so much for your good thoughts everyone. I'm just glad it happened when nobody was in it, 'specially the kids.

I totally thought of you and your hit-run incident last year.
It's not even a nice car at all (1997 Cavalier), but it's the first new car I ever had and it's been very good to us.
What happened this weekend?
The dude in front of me was turning left & once the light turned red and he was too far out in the intersection decided to put his Pathfinder in reverse... right into my Honda.
Not that bad... nothing like getting rear-ended on the Kennedy by a semi a couple months ago. I looked in my rearview mirror and all I saw was 'Peterbilt' That was a bit more scary!!!
`How do you know I'm mad?' said Alice.
`You must be,' said the Cat, `or you wouldn't have come here.'

citcat taps her foot, waiting patiently for somebody to run with that one.
Do not resent growing old. Many are denied the privilege.
Hubby was staring at the police cars and fire engines at the station and rear ended a man, who leads an "alternative lifestyle", in front of the police station. That was a good 10 years ago and the jokes are still flying!

Oh your poor hubby....

Look at it this way... now she will have to pay for all the damage.... and the rental!
But gee Mal...sorry for your inconvience!
Thank you Susan. I'm just so happy no one was hurt, especially since the kids were in the truck with me, they didn't have to see their daddy hurt or anything.

Thats the main thing!!!!
Totally. Could have been much worse. I think Matt may have bumped his head on the steering wheel, but the airbag didn't deploy or anything.
