What's worse: Shots or Blood Tests?

Which one is worse? Shots or blood tests?

For me, blood tests. Shots are over in a second and only a slight sting. With blood tests, you not only have the sting, but they take forever, and I hate the way my arm feels. Plus, I hate the sight of blood.

Shots....They are injecting things IN my muscle..things that don't belong there and they hurt..sometimes for days..

Blood test for me is one stick..and no more pain..just the initial stick...and they are taking something out..Not putting foreign things in my body that may burn and sting for days..and swell up...

Take my blood any day...

But for the record?

IV's being put in are the ABSOLUTE WORST!

I've been hurt and hurt bad by idiots that didn't know what they're doing...

MOST of the time shots are worse.. just depends on where/what is being injected. Don't mind my dentist.. he's great. Some meds and where they are injected are SOOOO painful. I have had blood drawn so many times in the last few years that it doesn't bother me most times. Some medical folks are better at doing that than others.

But I agree with Connie. IV's hurt like hell.

shots, blood draws...... *yawn*....

typhoid shots hurt like hell, though..... way worse than tetanus.....

I give myself shots periodically..... the doc said I could come into the office every time, or they could teach me to do it.... lessee..... takes me about 3 minutes, start to finish, instead of an hour at the doc.... no brainer; I do it.... hurts some, yeah.... leaves a good lump in my leg, but what can ya do? :D

shots in my mouth.... no problem..... BUT DON'T TOUCH MY TEETH..... :o :o (just a teensie dental phobia there....... :o )

and I agree with everyone who said IVs are the worst..... :x

Shots I'm okay with but giving blood sucks.
I don't think it's a pain thing at all, it's something in my head.
Last time I went ahead and laid down for the Dr. because I knew I would go out although all I did was get a little queezy and sweat.
It's the silliest thing because it does not hurt and they say it's always the big guys.
I usually forget to breathe and break out sweating.
Even when I try hard not to think about it all I can do is picture the needle going in
I guess I'm a wimp but it's honestly something I can't control.
Periodically my coworkers go together and give blood and I would like to but I can see it happening and them not letting me hear the end of it  There have been times when I was not affected such as when I had a trauma situation.

I've told them before either pull the needle out and try again or get a junkie in here to find my vein. AND NEVER ROLL A VEIN OVER TO THE NEEDLE DAMNIT,

That stuff don't bother me...I've given gallons of blood to the Red Cross. Now THAT'S a needle!!!!
The two shots that DID bother me were a penicillin shot in my bootie for strep throat back in the late sixties, and a cortisone shot in my heel waayyy deep inside.....kinda hurt, but sure made me feel better.
