SWEET!!!! Booking my trip now!finsupnorth wrote:You just have to be difficult don't you...
Well, the only flights right now run between Marshfield, WI (which doesn't even have a real airport) and Kansas City...
I am sure it will expand as soon as Buffett releases more concert dates or more BN have events...
The airline is only for that actually....BN gatherings and Buffett concerts....
Hell, while I'm at it....it only takes 5 minutes to get to any destination also and they will pick you up at your house.....
Why do I feel like a 10 year old again?

let me put on laywer speak hat.
you had a contract with the airline. thru no fault of either party the contract could not be honored. you were refunded your payment and made whole. end of contract. they owe you nothing and you owe them nothing....
i would be glad i got the refund, and not credit or forced to fly to NO at a later date. what if you didn't want to go to NO after the date you intended to on? say the only reason you were going there was for a one time event like a wedding or funeral, the event happened anyway without you, and now there's no reason to go?

I'd feel bad for you, but I have no soul.....

I have to agree with Charlie here. This is not the ordinary hurricane re-accomodation scenario. . waiving the change fee, moving itineraries up to 7 days or full refunds. .etc. .
Right now, I think there are only 3 commercial airlines flying into New Orleans. . American, Continental, Southwest? That might have changed - but it is very limited service. I don't think there are any flights available at this time for the next few months.
Imagine the re-booking nightmare if they held all of the reservations - with no definite date for when they can resume service. I can understand your frustration - $166 is an awesome fare. .but where would you be with only two weeks notice?
I think it's really the best they can do given the situation.
I am also curious about your hotel. What shape is it in? Are they honoring the reservation?
