That is exactly what I was gonna say!
You'd be doing the owner/boss a favor by saving her business. When I get treated badly at a business, I don't go back.
Or you could have some of your friends/relatives to come in and when the evil newbie says something bad about them, have them throw a hissie and demand to see the manager.

That's a really good idea!! After we run over her non-existent cat, we can all go in for coffee and have her be mean to us and get her fired!!
