I like "Someday I will." I could do a whole speech on that one, but I'm sure there are plenty better ones.

"Oh, God! I don't want to die in Nashville in a rented Gremlin!"
JB to Noel Coppage, Stereo Review, 1974

He definitely won't die in anything rented!

I suppose it's actually a Mark Twain quote, but "Be good and you will be lonesome" seems like a quote you could talk about for a while.
Now and then we had a hope that if we lived and were good, God would permit us to be pirates.

PM me and I can tell you the story behind the quote... :pirate:

"And remember... I am spending your money foolishly!" Jimmy Buffett, stated many times from the stage, as well as in A Pirate Looks at 50. :pirate:

"Now if I can just remember the f*ckin' words!"

Pittsburgh, 2003, after a "senior moment" where he introduced Grapefruit, Juicy Fruit, even though it wasn't on the setlist.

It's lengthy, but so true in so many ways:

"You've got to roll with the punches, play all of your hunches,
Make the best of whatever comes your way,
Forget that blind ambition, learn to trust your intuition,
Plow straight ahead, come what may"

One he has said on many occasions is just great in my opinion.
"I love my summer job"

Hey just for kicks, let us know what you use. Good luck.

"If we couldn't laugh, we would all go insane"

topical given the serious political climate, the FCC and "politically correct" times.

No matter what you choose, post a copy of your speech here after it's done. I for one would like to read it. (I know it's a speech, but at least tape it and provide a transcript.)
