I was a pokemon kid but they lost me when they went beyond the 150 original pokemon. My brother still has his Beanie Baby's. I still see a tomagochi hanging around once in a while. I remember when they first came out, people would run out to their backpack to make sure it was "healthy." I heard Furbie's are going to make a comeback this year.

Cell Phones naturally become a fad in middle school nowadays. Obviosly more recently Livestrong bands, as well as the imitators.

I used to have a polo shirt with an upside down dead alligator on it.....sort of an anti-preppy shirt. The little alligator had X eyes and everything.....

Friendship bracelets were big where I'm from too.
I remember making friendship pins and pinning them to my tennis shoe laces. Aw, yes, the good ole days.

When I was in high school, my boyfriends were older than me and didn't have class rings!
The fad I did best in the high school days was big hair!

I was working for a bank when Mork & Mindy was on TV. I grew a beard on my vacation one year and they made me shave it off when I got back to work. I bought a pair of rainbow suspenders and started wearing them every day as a silent protest.
