The NEW Portland Pre Concert thread

I almost went solo for the Pittsburgh show this year. I am originally from New York and went back for a visit. I usually go back for the 4th of July because my parents have a resteraunt on the water & they have a great fireworks show you can watch from the patio. A phriend of mine said to come back a week early so we could hit Pittsburgh for the show. I agreed and set it all up @ the last minute he called and said can't get a sitter for his daughters. I was like I am going anyway. He wound up pulling it out at the last minute. What a great show it was. I actually would look forward to hitting a show alone. I think it would be alot easier to be the life of the party & meet new phriends. Where is everyone else staying.

I'm at the Shilo Inn~Rose Garden.....I know others are staying at the Double Tree and other places too. I think we're pretty much all scattered....

could we somehow join all of these threads together... I know there's a way IF and only IF you are the original author.. this is getting hard to keep up on.

Only 2 more sleeps till showtime. Everyone have an excellent Wedsday @ work I am sure the majority are off Thursday so we will be suffering shortimers @ work trying to get the day to pass. I am get antsy tommorrow is Jimmy Buffett eve.

YES!! tomorrow is my loooong day in class......I am so tempted to skip out but can't. I'll dephihitely be antsy pantsy!!! ...and I'll surely have trouble getting to sleep!!

I haven't even started to pack yet. I just moved into new place a month & 1/2 ago. I need to find the digital camera charger. It shouldn't take to long. I need swimsuit, shorts & possibly a kilt still debating that though. I have a good mount of JB cd;s in the truck already. What is gas going for in OR debating on who is cheaper & if I should fill it or wait.

central oregon.. today I paid $2.59/reg but that was at a Costco which is quite cheaper.

there's no state tax in Oregon... gas up here.

as a matter of fact... buy everything here... my room, my tickets, my gas, some tee shirts.. for me of course.... think of all the $$ you are going to save in taxes.

$2.45 about 15 mi west of portland where i am... still pretty high in downtown- last i saw was $2.69. Still cheaper than most places in WA, or so I hear.

I am going to "bake" some of these tomorrow... please advise what kind of liquor and what kind of jello....

would tequila and strawberry jello work?????

there are even websites loaded with alcohol jello... where have I been? I think I will make this......

Bahama Mama's:
Large box of Pineapple Jell-O (4 cup size)
2 cups (16 oz.) boiling water
1 oz. Coconut Rum (or liqueur)
1 oz. Dark Rum
1/2 oz. Bacardi 151 Rum
1/2 oz. Kahlua (or other coffee liqueur)
13 oz. cold water (if you've poured the liquor into a two cup measure first, just top it off to the two cup line)
or... 1 oz. Coconut Rum, 1 oz. Dark Rum, 1 oz. Light Rum, 1/2 oz. Kahlua, top it off to the two cup line...
Boil the water, dissolve the jello mix, add the cold liquids.
