Hello and GOODBYE "Tammy"!

Dunno if anyone has watched the weather or not, but a little tropical deprssion that became Tropical Storm "Tammy" made her way through the area yesterday and last night.
We had flooding in town and most of the secondary roads in the county were reportedly closed. And power outages and some thunder and lightening and a bit of minoor wind. Mostly we got rain....Tammy is gone and most of the day was dry for the first time since the weekend.
The power went out last night for a few hours....had a line down on a lot next to me, but they got it fixed as quickly as they could and I thank the guys for doing such a job.
There is an article, a video, and a slide show here.... Mostly what is in the news was the waterfront in "Old Town" St. Marys... and barricaded streets. They did show some footage other stuff and of a housing area but I am not sure where it actually is in St.Marys.....

Saw you guys on the news this morning - was thinking of ya last night as the electricity flickered and the water flooded into my Carolina Room!! Today turned out to be absolutely beautiful although the weather channel is calling for 100% chance of rain for us!

Just the opposite here - was supposed to be beautiful...and I'm gonna ride home in the rain (with my raingear safely stored in the garage).

Jodi,
I think the Carolinas caught the strong side of the storm. There was some beach erosion here as well. They said the center would pass either directly over us or just to the north of us.
Meanwhile we are expecting more rain tomorrow. Oranges and satsumas were blown off the trees...

I think they sad we got something like 8 inches of rain yesterday/last night.... not real sure.... I know I can paddle around in my back yard right now.... no real danger of flooding, it is just the water has not had a chance to run off....
I have two little scared dogs wanting to hide behind my computer desk and I had to chase them out from behind there and it is REALLY coming down now..... some thunder in the area too.... May have to sign off in hurry.

There is another system coming out of the Gulf going to cover most of Fla and SE Ga until sometime Fri it looks like....then some low pressure or cool front is suppose to move in.... Keep an eye on your local weather....

I believe they said Brunswick got 8" yesterday and last night..
we've gotten that much and probably more, the trees are falling over because the ground is saturated...
should all be over by Saturday sometime, we hope... Camden County has been hit hard, which includes.. Kingsland, Woodbine, and St. Marys..

Here is another link in the Naitional news.... about Glynn county and Brunswick Georgia. Just north of here. :

I think they said since Monday we had gotten 12 inches of rain total as of yesterday, and that we got around around 8 inches of rain yesterday alone... and not sure how many we got today....
