Post by buffettbride »

Hubby got us tix to the Avs game tonight!! WOOOOHOOOO!!!!!

We don't have cable, which is required to watch any Avs games any more, so I haven't even seen more than the highlights on the news since the new season started.

YAY! YAY! YAY!

It will also be Victoria's first game in-person! YAY! YAY! YAY!!!!!!

It's currently 36, which is keeping the cold-ass rain from being snow. By 7pm when the game starts and the sun is down, it will be snowing and 20 degrees, I'm sure. This is a picture of the current conditions close to where I'll be.

Ivensco Field at Mile High is the "official" name but I still call it mile high. If my memory hasn't failed me coors field is a couple miles either north or south of mile high. Coors Field is downtown not too far from the amusement park. Watching a sunset over the Rocky Mountains at Coors Field was breathtaking.

I can't see my Bruins.
If you want an experience, go to a Jimmy Buffett concert.

Experience is something you don't get until just after you need it.

I watched some of that game, thanks to free NHL Center Ice.

That is one funky pre-game light show they have.

We only caught the very tail-end of the pregame as we were running a bit late.

We got there just in time for the national anthem. :D :D they light up the ice with a projection of the American flag. My daughter was very impressed and she sang her heart out!! :D :D

There's just something really amazing about hearing the national anthem at a sporting event.
