Gawd this things been taking forever...let's get on with it already...get to the Gulf...nycparrothead wrote:SWEET!!! A little hook to the left and next week could get real interesting up this way!!

It's a good thing for FL if Wilma is taking her sweet old time. Staying over land (the Yucatan) will weaken her, and staying over the same area of water will cause cool water upwelling, which will also weaken her.Gulfbreeze wrote: Gawd this things been taking forever...let's get on with it already...get to the Gulf...
Well, let her pull up a stool; start throwing back tequila shooters; and have her bend a couple bartenders' ears about that whore Betty Rubble and how Barney isn't half the man her Fred is...Sam wrote:One weather guesser I heard, said it is possible she may just blow herself out over the Yucantan P., and may not be able to recover from it......but that was only a possibility and depends on how long she parties there.
One can only hope!!!!RinglingRingling wrote:Well, let her pull up a stool; start throwing back tequila shooters; and have her bend a couple bartenders' ears about that whore Betty Rubble and how Barney isn't half the man her Fred is...Sam wrote:One weather guesser I heard, said it is possible she may just blow herself out over the Yucantan P., and may not be able to recover from it......but that was only a possibility and depends on how long she parties there.
That's keep her there long enough to pass out and leave FL alone.
You did double the amount of whiskey and beer, just in case...BilltheLizard wrote:I am sure many of you are asking "Bill what is it like to be sitting on the West Coast of Florida waiting for a hurricane?"
Well let me tell you.
I am currently sitting in a cave that is my home because I have had to board up all my windows in anticipation of Wilma. Furthermore it is like waiting on a fight were you know you are going to get you ass kicked, you just don't know how bad and there isn't much you can do about it.![]()
So here I sit with water, whiskey, beer and food that will last me, the wife and keets for about a week. (Quick clarification, the whiskey and beer are not for the keets). I suppose the thought of "locked in a vacancy" comes to mind.
And yes Mal, I have been drinking. There really isn't much more to do right now.![]()
Feel free to ask any questions you may have about this wonderful experience.
Well of course, hurricanes are nothing to mess with. And in the event I run low, I spent yesterday afternoon over at the neighbors house and they have a least a case of beer (which they have only for company) and roughly three bottles each of several different kinds of liquors. You can never be to prepared.RinglingRingling wrote:You did double the amount of whiskey and beer, just in case...BilltheLizard wrote:I am sure many of you are asking "Bill what is it like to be sitting on the West Coast of Florida waiting for a hurricane?"

There will be a gaggle of us partying in Plant City tonight if you care to take your mind off of things...BilltheLizard wrote: Well of course, hurricanes are nothing to mess with.
