Heads Up for 23 Oct a reminder...

How many remember the date and the significance???
On 23 Oct 1983, 241 U.S. Marines lost their lives in Beruit, Lebanon, when their barracks was attacked by a suicide bomber.
Please take time to remember them and their families.

I didn't remember because I was just born that year

I remember it because the husband of my first babysitter was stationed at the office. Luckily he was not there the day the truck pulled up.
He is now back in Iraq protecting us again.

No prob, and I am glad to let people know about it..far too many have forgotten it or never knew about the loss of lives and tragedy that occured, sadly enough....Just I wish there was not a need to have to remember the events of that day, if you understand what I mean.
