You do have to give him credit, he does know how to accessorize...notice how nicely his watch and sunglasses match his shoes? Bravo tourist, bravo...buffettbride wrote:At least he's not wearing tube-socks pulled up to his knees.Cubbie Bear wrote:Belt and shoes, sold together or as seperates?Gulfbreeze wrote:Tourists...![]()

Much better! Fixed it even more myself.

I forgot to add, Mings, that a couple guys on here like to jump on anyone who uses words incorrectly (can't recall it happenning to me, I might add; I'm mostly geographically challenged), so I thought I would just tease RR a little. No harm meant.
there.. fixed it.
Oh, Ringling, I thought you did tease me about it... Way back somewhere about the highest mountain in the United States, and I thought it was on the Appalachian Trail in Maine or something. Let's just forget it!![]()
BTW, I love your vocabulary! Paucity is an excellent word...
Here's one someone actually used at a meeting I attended tonight, and he was in his 20s. He told this guy who (very amateurly) runs an independent cable station, that it would "behoove" him to call the office and get some guidelines on something or other. I thought the local yokel cable guy would say something about it, but he musta thought better of it.
Not a word you hear in everyday language very much...
touche`
Now, that's what I'm talking about! I love the pursuit of accuracy in the English language.
You can correct me any time you like, LIPH; you're my first, on BuffettNews, anyway.
I can't wait to correct you back sometime soon...

Thanks, mings... It will be a simple procedure (she says hopefully). I've already had quite a few crowns done... This is one tooth that got sensitive to the cold, so they're topping it with a crown to protect it a bit. Maybe it won't need a root canal till later down the line.mings wrote:CG, sorry to hear about your teeth. That sucks, but at least your letting it get to your head, princess.![]()

I still have no idea what Puacity means. I guess I'll just have to wait until my new dictionary comes from Amazon. Right now, all I've got, is that paucity is slang for "poor city". That's a reach.
Paucity simply means lack of, related to pauper, a person who lacks nearly everything.

They say you learn something new everyday. Well, I guess I'm off duty for the rest of today. Ha! (Maybe that's what put me in this position in the first place.)carolinagirl wrote:Thanks, mings... Every time I went to the dentist they gave me a toy, then they started giving me toothbrushes. Not fun - so I don't go any more.
