How is it that Scrapple has become as discussed as LisaG this week?
Because I might have mentioned in one of the threads yesterday that she's the scrapple of bisexuality.
Toppless...You posted the scrapple sammich, didn't you..it was gross looking...

but...that may have started the scrapple line of thinking..

Sure I have. In fact I've helped make it several times, although it's always been with deer "meat" - same principle, though.
OMG..that's a visual I certainly don't need...(imaging a field of corn instead....)

Ya gotta draw the line somewhere, Sam - and that's pretty much where I've drawn it.
Well Hells Bells..I'll just shut up..I loved picked pigs feet when I was a kid..make by Armour Star..I was a kid..I didn't exactly tie in what they really...were...

LOL BUT scrapple is not the topic here.......... nor are grits or pigs feet or ox tails or neck bones or collards nor fried chicken..... the topic is cheese food.... I mean when you go out to a restaurant .....how many restaurants have you asked for REAL Cheese??? I am sure McD's and everyother fast food place does not use real cheese..... ummmmmm maybe that is why that Burger King guy is so cheesy and creepy looking???

I am still wondering why they call it cheese food I know there is no real answer to that.......

Anything...that is processed is not good for you..

AND you can question what you are eating when you order in a restaurant..probably not a fast food joint..if you're under Drs. orders to adhere to a strict diet, or just prefer to eat healthier, many places have special menus for people that must not eat processed foods..and I think that would cover ...cheese food
..( and grits aren't processed !!)

Not meaqning to be funny here...but just how much food do you eat that is not prcocessed in someway.shape/form/ or fashion? Frozen or canned beans or veggies? tv dinners? Steak or hamburger? how about bread? Eggs? potato chips? soda? etc......

Mmmm for starters..that gross stuff they sell for ...ham...boneless ham.

Real ham has a bone in it..boneless ham is processed..

And Velveeta cheeze..except on very special occasions..when someone fixes it with RoTel..but not much then
.

I guess because both have questionable origins and just enough pig in them to pique your interest.
Actually, I think I may have introduced Scrapple to the BN crew. I apologize to all of you. ... Actually, I really don't. It's yummy. You should try it.

Actually I heard of scrapple some years ago....yankee food.....when my XBIL introduced me to it.....I was not impressed with it then or since.... given a choice between starvation/going hungry and having to eat it or nothing....I would eat it.....It would not be on the menu otherwise... Foodwise, I will eat most anything first that dosen't eat me first....Humans are not at the top of the food chain for nothing....

Glad you like it and many people must like it, for it to be produced as it is.

Well, I suppose the world doesn't make sense. Yup, Scrapple does sound gross, but it tastes good. It's all about the spices. The kicker? I HATE seafood. I won't touch it (yes I've tried it) but I'll eat Scrapple. No one ever said I'm normal, but I suppose everyone eats something that others don't.

of course you ..can, but here in Southeast Georgia..they look at you kinda funny if you do.

Once I started thinking...vegetable, not cereal, it became much easier to eat them w/o sugar. Butter, yes, but not sugar, Plain for breakfast and cheeze any other time.

You should see the little kids here, starting with PK, eat grits for breakfast....

Come to St.Marys Connie, and I'll fix ya some grits. Can you even buy them up there?

I'll find out today if I can get them - I think I've seen them in the store. If I can't - I'll get someone in Texas to send a care package   Hey I may not be able to get grits here but I can get some kick butt salmon and I've had some of the BEST clam chowder.

I'm just new to clam chowder..and the first was the red kind..and I wasn't too crazy about it..however, I don't think it was prepared the best either..

Salmon if it's fixed in steaks rocks, as well as fresh tuna..(that canned crap they sweep up off the floor and can it).

BUT...it's .....OYSTER SEASON, I'm in on that one, they tell me the cooler it gets the better they are...

Recently tried the rock shrimp....didn't know there was different in it and the other until I tried it..ROCK SHRIMP rocks...big time!!!
