A serious group or organization can help out here. The guy never dreamed he would get this many teddy bears and there is no way he can get them all to Iraq/ Afghanistan by himself....
I DO NOT KNOW any more than what the article says and I have NOT called the number for any further details.
Perhaps someone can come up with a way.......Crash???? Radar??? any ideas???
I do not know the requirements, but perhaps PHCs all over could help out.
Just a thought....I dunno... any thoughts, ideas, suggestions?
Maybe I posted this in the wrong place...Moddy move as needed...I dunno but it seemed a fitting place at the time.

Anybody want a teddy bear?

Glenn Jordan of O'Fallon, Mo., was trying to help a troop support group in Kansas by agreeing to take some of their donated stuffed animals.

Glenn Jordan is about to be buried in teddy bears and other stuffed animals - 43,000 of them to be exact; and he's not sure what to do next.
He got the toys, which even include a few dolls, through an unrelated effort to help U.S. troops in Iraq, and now he needs help getting them to needy children.
"I am simply overrun, and I'm looking for help," he said. "With Christmas right around the corner and with thousands of children escaping the hurricanes with only the clothes on their backs, I know there is somewhere a need for these."
Jordan, 50, of O'Fallon, is no stranger to do-gooding. For the last few years he's been running a troop-support effort, sending patriotic mugs to soldiers in Iraq with the name and rank of the recipient inscribed in red, white and blue lettering under the message: "We the people appreciate and thank ..."
So when he learned of another troop-support organization in Kansas that had collected stuffed animals for children in Iraq and Afghanistan but couldn't distribute them, he offered to help. He said he'd take "some."
Next thing he knew, he was getting all the animals the group had collected.
The organization, he said, was moving to California and couldn't take the toys with them. The Kansas group, he said, was not a professional group. "It was just another effort like myself, trying to make a difference," he said.
After learning of Jordan's interest, the Kansas group arranged with a local grocery chain for free transportation of the toys. From the chain's distribution center in Omaha, Neb., the boxes of furry cargo were put on the trucks' weekly runs to Winfield.
Since last July, Jordan has been driving to Winfield, sometimes making five or six trips each week, returning home with boxes of bears. Boxes and boxes.
With his wife, Beth, and three of his five daughters still at home - Lauren, 12, Brittney, 10, and Andi, 6 - Jordan had a hard-working human chain helping him unload and move his cargo from the SUV to the basement.
Jordan clearly does not want to criticize the outfit that collected the stuffed animals in the first place. But he laughs that the help of taking "some" turned out to be "all."
"When they started showin' up, I started sweatin'," he laughed.
Individuals or organizations wishing to relieve Jordan of some of the toys can call 636-272-1790.

hhhhhhhhhhhmmmmmmmmmmmmm, wonder if those teddy bears would want to stuff themselves into some pillowcases for the Christmas in the Not So Carribean drive......just thinking that the troops over there may like them and that would also give them things to give to the children they come in contact with. If you haven't already done so, post this in that thread....
