I was thinking crab puffs! Of course if it has the effect that "shrooms" have eating will not really matter. So I am told, .....so I have heard, ....so I have seen,.......I better stop right there.

just because you remember doesn't make me feel betterrednekkPH wrote:I can speak with a bit of experience on this one. I'm a very big fan of absinthe. I'd say the halucination thing is a bit exaggerated, but the buzz you get is definitely different (better, IMO) than any other form of alcohol I've ever tried. Best I can describe it is like a nitrous buzz that lasts alot longer. You can buy it online and have it shipped here, but be prepared to pay around $70 per bottle after shipping charges. I've tried several brands of the commercial stuff, and LaFee is by far my favorite.
That said, I have a very good friend that is now making his own, and he keeps me well supplied (don't ask). It's better tasting and gives a better buzz than any of the commercial ones I've had. He is making it using the old time recipe and procedures. There is a rather active underground of folks that do this, and they get together occasionally to sample each other's brews...his is consistantly among the best.
Finally...no, Rick - I haven't forgotten about you!
There's your problem, right there. Czech stuff is generally horrible. Thanks for the offer, though.land_shark3 wrote: They came from the Czech Republic... I just can't handle the taste.
Saw lots of Absinthe when I was in Mexico. I love Jager but otherwise not a fan of anise-flavored stuff.land_shark3 wrote: For a small fee, you are more than welcome to have them. I just can't handle the taste. Its like Jaeger or licorice, but its green.
I guess you could support the French... hippie freak.rednekkPH wrote:There's your problem, right there. Czech stuff is generally horrible. Thanks for the offer, though.land_shark3 wrote: They came from the Czech Republic... I just can't handle the taste.

Avoid serving neat as the drink is very strong and unpalatable until mixed.
