"Nucular"...NO..NO...NO. New casters are the WORST!

Des and I worked with a "lady". I use the term loosley. Her daughter was "signaled" out in class. Same child had "Tampa Tantrums". Is it about location? Did she have to travel from Jax to Tampa to have these?? Wonder why it had nothing to do with her "temper".

Another...YOU DON'T REFILL PER-STRIPTIONS or SUBSCRIPTIONS. They are prescriptions...or just say MEDICINE!

I heard someone who worked for an ad agency use the word "concepting." WTH? She said they were working on "concepting" a campaign for a client or something like that. Last time I looked, the word "concept" was a noun, not a verb.

I hate the word "impact." I just think it is overused, especially by the media. And my boss--she uses it all the time, which is probably the true reason I hate it.

WTF! Can't they say the final word?!!? It's not that hard. I'm all about syllable conservation but this is just ridiculous.
I think that's cute for some reason (maybe cause my nieces say it!) I personally use the final word, though. 8)

The one reason I cannot stand to watch that show. She annoys me to no end.

"Totally" is, like, right up, like, there with, like, like.

"Yo", the people who say it are usually yo-yos.

And the one I probably dislike the most is "dude". It makes me think of:
1. an airhead like Spicoli in Fast Times At Ridgemont High, or
2. a drunken frat boy.
I think anyone over about 16 who calls people "dude" is just trying way too hard to sound cool. And usually failing miserably.

honestly none of those really make me cringe.
The first word I thought of was "n*gger" which is what some redneck blurted out in Wal-Mart just last night.
I was waiting to go into the fitting room and he came out of one, laid a pair of pants on the table and said "I don't want these, I don't wear n*gger pants". Then he laughed and looked at me as if he was waiting for me to laugh or agree.
He said a couple of other rude things to the woman working the fitting room and before he left he said "Doesn't anyone have a sense of humor?"
Good thing my wife or son was not around or I don't know what might have happened.
I know...I know..."the people you see in Wal-Mart"

back on the non-serious tip...
I still think it's funny when someone says "that's neat" or "neato"

I guess that's okay... I've been known to use that one

The "P" word ( . ) has been known to make me cringe and the women at my job know it. Which is why they love to blurt it out.

There is no way that you can say "git-r-done" without losing 10 IQ points, and putting it on your car or on your personal items drops your IQ another 20 points, and if you get it tattooed on your body, I'd like to remind you how popular "Keep on Truckin'" was in the '70s.

That reminds me. I can't stand when people use an apostrophe incorrectly. An apostrophe goes in place of other letters or numbers. You didn't wear spandex in the 80's, it was the'80s. (Just like ya'll should be y'all)

Grow, as in "grow a business". How the ***** do you "grow" a business? Do you sprinkle geeks on the ground and water them every day? You increase profits, you raise revenue, you don't "grow" a business. You grow a rose bush.

As we're approaching Penn Station in the morning the conductor on the LIRR will say "This is New York Pennsylvania Station, the last and final stop on this train." Of course it's the LAST AND FINAL stop you a-hole. It's not the next to last and final stop. It's not the last and almost final stop.

One that sportscasters use too much is good success. "Paul Konerko has had good success in the post-season." Is there such a thing as bad success?

People who don't know the difference between "you and I" and "you and me".

iuparrothead wrote:I don't like it when Asian people are referred to as Orientals.

People are Asian. Things are Oriental.
Actually, I'm not so sure on this one anymore. I know several Japanese doctors and researchers that hate to be called Asians. They call themselves Oriental because they say Asian is too broad.
