Well I got a 99.9% good Sirus copy. As I have recently gotten serious about Sirius, I have still been trying to find the best placement of antenna. For the replays, you got 4 chances to get a totally good recording, but obviously for the live shows you only get 1 chance. For Vegas, I had the antenna in a spot with good signal strength, but as a backup I also had one of my other computers recording RM from the internet. During CIP, there was about 10 seconds where the Sirius receiver went out, and it said “acquiring signal”. Ok, fine, then. I thought I could splice the 10 seconds from the RM feed, but it turned out that RM dropped out in exactly the same place!
The fact that the gap is in both the satellite and internet feeds tells me that there was a problem with the source (or my house is inhabited with crazy ghoblins), but there is no indication of this in the other thread:

Does everyone else have that perfect CIP recording??

I record Sirius using TR from the internet and don't have the dropouts as if I use RM. Now, when they have tech problems, such as a dropped feed, there is no cure.

I found out the hard way every time you post your email on an open forum it can be harvested mechanically for email spam. If you leave spaces or spell out dot it is not recognized as an email address.
