I have had a couple of fried turkeys, very tasty after an injection of cajun spices.

Love fried turkey, but I prefer the baked, stuffed one for Thanksgiving. (Only for Thanksgiving; the rest of the time I'd pick fried).

I've never had fried, but it just sounds wrong. Too much oil, grease. No wonder Americans are fat. We fry everything from oreos to turkey.

I suppose it may be fattening, but it doesn't taste greasy and fried...the grease doesn't seem to permeate the turkey. It just makes the outside crispy and good!

Hmmm. Interesting, but it still sounds weird.

At the Indiana State Fair (mind you, we are one of the fattest states in the US), we have deep fried oreos, twinkies, milky way bars, snickers, and I think cinnamon rolls this past year. The milky way bars are awesome!!!!! Don't knock it til you try it!

As for the deep fried pumpkin, I'm willing to try all kinds of things. I've had deep fried cheesecake and it was awesome. Deep fried pumpkin pie might not be bad....with some french vanilla cool whip to dip it into....hmmmm....

Just give me some trail mix, popcorn, soft pretzel, or maybe even french fries, but keep that stuff away. It sounds so heavy, and so fattening, and so ... odd.

I love Turducken.

We get one every year from a specialty store called Hebert's!

We also fry a turkey several times a year. We inject it with different marinades and it is so juicy! JUST BE CAREFUL!

you know what else is good, smoked turkey legs with a little barbeque sauce. Went to the Va Tech/BC game last night and the Hokie booster club sells smoked turkey legs for 5 bucks. It was freezing last night so they had the smokers going full blast, the smell engulfed the entire stadium so you couldn'r resist buying them

YUM! and if you want dressing, just make it and bake it in the oven!
And I love Turducken, but....so expensive.
