I am cracking up here...
The local supermarket or pet store might have something...there is a spray...you spray it on, the animal doesn't like the smell and they won't go on the furniture or in this case, the roof.

Maybe this. Don't know if it works too well or if it will stain the roof, but might be worth a try. Most pet stores will sell it. The picture is from petsmart.com

Cheaper still - catch the cat on there and hose it ... wont hurt it - they hate water - and eventually will get the hint that it is not welcome there. (maybe).
I am with ya on the cat on the car - when we had a cat, it did that - paw prints all over the place. I am now allergic to cats also - so would be totally unimpressed if it were me.
Now ... what to do about the birds that wanna poop all over my car
