I pretty much apply this same qualifier. Maybe it's a Canadian thing!
Yup. Star Wars episode III - Theatre. Wedding Crashers - DVD

Pretty simple math.

Unless of course it is a big social outing and everyone is going.

Or you just NEED some theatre popcorn because it can't be replicated at home! 8)

I may be one of the last people on earth doing so but I pop my own popcorn and it's way better than what's available in theatres. Microwave popcorn doesn't even come close to homecooked and very likely never will.

We use a stovetop popper at home, too. No microwave stuff for me. Still, there is something very decadent about movie house popcorn with "golden topping". AKA grease!

Hardly ever. The last time was to see the third Lord of the Rings. For the cost of 4 people + drinks + popcorn I can rent or PPV tons more. And they don't sell beer. :-?

I will probably make an exception soon to see the new "Chicken Little" in 3-D, if there is a theatre nearby with the technoogy to show it. There are 3 places around Boston (kind of far) and the price will be $12?!?!?!?!?! :x

I seldom and hardly ever go to a theater to see a movie. I THINK the last movie in a theater I saw was "Saving Private Ryan" but maybe it was something else around that time. We MIGHT go this weekend to a matinee, but not sure.

Movie theater popcorn has never been the same since I read The Tailsman by Stephen King when the boy and the "wolf boy"(?) went into the theater and the "wolf boy" (?) said he did not want any of that pee on his popcorn. I crack up everytime I go in a theater after I read that.

1-2 times a year, and usually at the (cheaper) matinee time.
