Movie Theater

The "Last Movie Watched" thread got me thinkin'.... When was the last time you went to a movie theater?

I went back in June, I believe, to a sneak-preview of Bewitched. A charity board on which FIL sits had a benefit and we got free tickets.

I hardly ever go, but we do take Victoria a few times a year to see some of the kids movies. We got a little tired of being propagandized by Disney!

The Lion, the Witch, and the Wardrobe is coming out soon, though, and we'll definitely take her to see that.

I like to take the kids, the huge screen ads to the fun.

I used to go more often when I was dating my girlfriend. No girlfriend = no movies. In this city - that means a whole lot more money for beer.

I hardly ever go.....the last movie I went and saw was Charlie and the Chocolate Factory. The one before that was Forrest Gump. :D

I think the last time I went to the theater was for The Fantastic Four. I would probably go more if there were actually anything decent out there to see. Lately it seems like there just hasn't been a whole lot that's piqued my interest.

My best friend was a huge movie freak, we went probably every two weeks, but he went to college in September. I think I've seen one movie in a theater since then.

Theatre, smeatre .... I rarely go. I wait for the DVD instead.

Big screen TV, wall-shaking surround sound, open bar, kitchen full of snacks & popcorn (yum!), no sticky floors or gum on the seats and no yapping nitwits (are ya here to watch the movie or talk about your cousin's son's friend's hang nail?) ..... there's no place like home!

I actually see most of my movies at a Drive-in in south Jersey. 2movies for $6. Can't beat sitting under the stars watching a movie with a beer in hand.

Way too often. 8)
I'm either real busy with work, or really not!
and I am down at the local cinema late afternoon catching the independent stuff.
Can't stand most of the mainstream summer blockbuster crap.

Good Night, and Good Luck is worth catching....
Capote might be the Best Picture Oscar

If it needs to be watched on a big screen with big sound and the whole theatre experience, I'm there. If not I'll wait for the DVD.

We used to go regularly .... but a friend passed away that we go with - last time we saw her was when we went to the movies.

(we do laugh now that we should have shown her something better than the second Charlies Angels movie  )

Since then - we lost some of our enthusiasm.

And .. at 18.50 a ticket ......

A beer? Is that what you told the officer it was?

I pretty much apply this same qualifier. Maybe it's a Canadian thing!

Actually, you can't even drink there - or bring your own food for that matter. But really, I'm not standing in line with a bunch of goobers to pay for overpriced food. Plus the last 2 times I went the kitchen was closed & flooded.

I like beer.
