If I'm not mistaken, Fox filmed one of their World's Most Incredible Stunts shows here where a Russian cargo plane (the slowest plane in the world) would fly underneath with a net suspended behind it as parachuters jumped off the bridge and attempted to land in the net.
Yikes!! That's definitely something I wouldn't try!!

Why not? that sounds like fun. I mean - you have a parachute, so what's the worry?

I used to have a poster of this bridge in my room when I was younger. We went to Colorado for vacation and went across the Royal Gorge Bridge on foot!

Parachutes sometimes fail....once you are inside the net you have to make it inside the aircraft. I dunno how big this net was, nor how far the drop was from the bridge, but consder the altitude of the bridge was say 1,000 feet, the plane would have probably around 300 feet minimum of clearence sor safety, from the bridge and no doubt more clearence would be required I would think.... Even if cut back to 100 feet from the bridge, the net whatever many feet behind the plane for you hit/grab before you open your chute and no time for a reserve....Consider that you are dropping somewhere around 135 MPH... no idea what the speed was the aircraft...and you will have to cut away your chute before you hit the water or risk being entangled and drowning...leaves you a very slim if at all, margin for or error.

Many apologies for that. But I do highly reccommend if you ever get a chance, to try skydiving ... do a tandem jump. You get to go through freefall and then fly the chute around. If you actually do it....MAKE SURE you get it videotaped. It is well worth the money.
Learning to skydive tandem is less expensive, at least in upfront costs, than going to a static line school. If you don't like it you are only out of the jumps you paid for, rather than the lump sum up front you normally pay at some other jump schools.
It is the most fun, you will ever have with all of your clothes on!!! And when you share the video with friends, you will relive and feel the moments....I am not kidding. ( besides doing tandem jumps and having the video you can win bets against people by telling them you went out of a plane at 10,000 feet and did not wear a parachute!
