Finally getting to be the really good time of year to eat raw oysters and I just had an overwhelming urge to find the closest raw bar to satisfy my craving!!
Back in the 70s I learned to eat them accompianied by a cold beer and listening to Buffett on the juke box in any one of a dozen tiki bars up and down the beaches of the west coast of Florida.
There is an art to oyster eating. I have a little ritual I go thu...
Eating them Raw according to ToplessRideFL
Squeeze lemon on all of the dozen oysters
Open saltine crackers one at a time. Do not open 12 crackers at once! If place doesnt have saltine crackers...go elsewhere!
Carefully pull oyster out of shell and place on cracker.
Add a dollup of cocktail sauce and a pinch of horseradish to the oyster
Eat! No baby bites.... put the whole thing in your mouth and chew!!
Take a swig of an adult beverage and repeat!
*sigh* That my friends is perfection!

tabisco rules!!!! And I don't take mine out of the shell - there's something about letting it slide in your mouth from the shell.
