Bah humbug!
One of the radio stations in the Philly area has already begun playing Christmas music 24/7. Does it make me a Scrooge if I think this is rushing the season just a tad?
... yes, its true ... I am alphabits' evil twin-

Cool...rednecks in Illinois too!
Glad to know that we, down here in the South , do not have all of them!

Maybe it got reaaaaaallllly cold when they went to take them down, and didn't want to be on the roof on a cold, windy day?Prthd119 wrote:prrthd1987 wrote:Our neighbors had their house lit up tonite (although they never took their lights down from LAST year)![]()

Sometimes more than others,
we see who and what and where we are,
I'm just a one man band,
With my feet in the sand,
Tonight I just need my guitar

They have been playing it for at least 4 weeks. I"ve been amazed whenever I go past this station. The first day I left it on for a bit thinking it was a joke and somebody was going to come in with hahaha or something. But no, they're serious.

That's overdoing it. Everyone will be sick of Christmas music before December!rsgeist wrote:One of the radio stations in the Philly area has already begun playing Christmas music 24/7. Does it make me a Scrooge if I think this is rushing the season just a tad?
We live close to our city's 7-acre park, and I've been watching them put up the Christmas decs during my daily morning walk. They started Nov. 1.
One guy was in a cherry picker, hanging giant balls on the top of a full-size magnolia. Another guy was on the ground yelling, "You've got way too many on that side; there's a bare spot over here," just like he probably does with his wife decorating the tree at home. The guy in the cherry picker rolled his eyes at me (as best I could tell from 60 feet below).

There's a station here in Portland doing it also. My 6 year old daughter thinks it's great. She is already making her list for Santa.rsgeist wrote:One of the radio stations in the Philly area has already begun playing Christmas music 24/7.
