I work in politics for a living (glutton for punishment, I know). It's nice to take a break from it for a while when I come to BN.

You already have "Off-Topic" area. Also posts getting deleted to conserve bandwidth ( supposedly). How many threads need to be specialized into "Off Topic" areas?.

I don't lke all the commercials on TV or radio, so I ignore them and or change the station and go elsewhere.

If you are not interested in it, then don't read it or buy into it. How many people read an article in the paper or see something on the news or other show write a letter to the editor or whoever objecting to it?
Yet many will state comments in here.

People may well hate politics, but because of lack of invovlement and voter apathy, we are where we are at. We have the Goverment we deserve. Our system was designed for people to participate. The vast majority of eligible voting populace, seldom votes or bother to edcuate themselves about the issues. In effect we are led by a minority, not the majority. Congress/Senate make and pass legislation with only the input from those that participate... not enough care to participate, and usually ignore them, so they pass legislation that benefits them and their friends.

Then perhaps maybe you need to practice reading more books and things besides the "Dick and Jane and Spot" books. 8) :D

I haven't been allowed to read them yet. I'm still having the Kat and the Hat read to me.
Thanks for typing slow. Maybe next time slower still?

NO, NO, NO, NO, NO!!!

Not just no, but HELL NO!!

I saw too much anger, nastiness, name calling, vile spewings and more coming out of COBO's Political area, and it spilled over to the Social area.

My vote is definitely NOT!

Not only am I anti politics I'm anti political discussing.

I SAY NO WAY. Some things don't need to be discussed, especially if their very nature is to incite debate and is often tied to strong feelings and excessive emotion.

Yeah. Discussing things is stupid. Who wants to discuss things? That's bull. PLUS, what I say goes.
