as clearly marked on the backside of the packaging...

These concerts were recorded from the sound board at each show- nothing has been edited - nothing has been altered in any way. Warning: this CD may contain profanity and/or senior moments. What you hear is what happened. J.B.

I think for 16.00 I got my money's worth. Even if I was bored. Chapter stops are great.

I can't believe that this many people are complaining we have not had an extended live taping of a show since "Live By The Bay" (I'm not counting the releases that have less than 5 songs) This is exciting!!! :D I realy like DVD!

It's both, 2 CDs with about 30 songs and a DVD with 13 or 14 songs (I haven't watched it yet so I'm not sure how many are on it).
what I really mean . . . I wish you were here

2 cd's & a 55 minute dvd for less than $20 - I don't think that's too bad.

In fact - I enjoyed the dvd the most - it just makes me wish I had been there.
:D :D :D

A higher quality, full length concert dvd would be nice, tho. And I don't think it would hurt concert ticket sales - in fact, like RM, it would probably help.

I viewed it as a 2 CD set of the Fenway show with a free DVD. For $20.00, not a bad deal.

That would turn the release into a studio production. All the elements would have to be mixed into 5.1. I think the idea for these kind of releases is to release them in a low production cost manner so more like it can be released. For a "real" release such as in the Rolling Stones set, a 5.1 should be mastered and the DVD would be packaged at a professional authoring house. Maybe.

Methinks you are correct. It's not meant to be a studio production. It's merely an added extra to the CD package. 8)

plain and simple business 101...

parrotheads will buy anything jimmy puts out. why spend huge dollars on the production side when it won't sell more units.

Hmmmm...... Shouldn't be too hard to rip the dvd to the computer and make my own chapters, then burning a new dvd. Legal as long as I don't distribute it right?

If that's someone's business strategy at Mailboat, then it's a p*** poor one. I'd much rather see more time and effort put into the packaging as well as seeing measures taken in order to improve the sound quality.

Exactly. The CDs and packaging probably cost them at most 25 cents, but probably more like 17 cents total to put that out.

I enjoyed seeing all the parrothead clips, because that is THE show it seems these days, but I too would like a full show --just done pretty straight forward with clips of the audience like they would show on parrotvision, instead of making those shots the bulk of the show.

I may change my mind after I watch it a few more times!!

Can't wait to see the Coastal Confessions production. Just the way it was sent out for the simulcast event.
My thoughts exactly. I enjoyed this DVD but would enjoy Coastal Confessions even more. Does anybody know what the delay is or should I stop thinking this will ever be produced??

90% Of you are totally missing the whole point. Go back to my first post and re-read it, read it 5 times if you have to.

I am not complaining about the material on the DVD, but the way the DVD was produced as a finished product.

Now I may not have the best hearing in the world due to many metal concerts. But when I buy a DVD---99.999999999999% of them are 5.1 surround sound at least----if they arent---the DVD itsself was probably made many many many years ago.

Almost all DVDs have a menu. Hell that lil mini mantanee that was like 7 bucks even had a menu.

Im just saying they took over a year to put out this DVD/CD combo---least they coulda done was a little bit of work to it, they do make a shitload of money over at Mailboat. Or should it be known as Cheapboat Records now.

I like the DVD, I just watched it.

Would I prefer a full show...DUH

As far as the production ABF, of course it could be better if you want production listen to Tues/Turs/Sat, but I paid $16.99 for 2 cd's + a BONUS DVD....what can I complain about?

That full show DVD is coming too.....isn't it? :-?
