WOW--- Could a DVD not be anymore crappier?
1. No Menu what so ever
2. Get with the frickin times --no 7.1? at least do 5.1 Surround Sound---Shoulda just put this out on a Betamax tape.
3. No track listing for the DVD inside the booklet---come on---let us at least know whats coming up so if its a SYKBH we can at least skip it.

Im watching it too---just thought that since it took a whole year to put out, they could have done a lil more then just a half donkeys rear end attempt at it.

Bah humbug!
It's sad to see someone who's glass is perpetually 3/4 empty.
I haven't watched the DVD yet, but my favorite part of the CD is listening to the crowd roar during some of his Fenway comments and during the curse-breaking skit. What a joy that must have been for a Red Sox fan!

Try watching a live show in 5.1 --- It is like you are there. Nothin beats crankin up that new Eagles DVD - Saves you 350 dollars on a front row seat.

I'm with you! I thought the content was great! They stayed away from SYKBH, and there's as much of us as there is of them!

I don't think he's complaining about the content....ABF seems to be disappointed in the production values of the disc itself...he mentioned the Dolby, the menu, etc.

Yah, the sound quality does leave something to be desired. But the song selection is excellent. I would have preferred more quantity over quality.
I like how they blended the two nights for WDWGD -> Sweet Caroline. Or did Jimmy just change his clothes really fast?
But if they did release it only on Betamax, I would have bought it anyways.

They did that on "Respect", also, it changes from Friday to Sunday right in the middle.

I don't undertsand why he didn't just come out with a full length DVD of the show? I mean, I don't get it. He could sell as many DVD's as CD's, almost. Like, the Live in Hawaii, then the short DVD for 10 bucks...it's all been garbage productions. Why not do one full length show, from top to bottom, with menu's, 5.1, and backstage stuff. I know it won't be a top ten DVD for weeks on end, but it will sell to all the parrotheads, same as his CD's. I mean, the man puts his name on everything from food to t-shirts to even condoms...I'm sure he can pop out a quality DVD. It just baffles me. Although some artists are like that. Maybe JB feels that might eat into his live act, maybe someone who's never been will see it and not want to go...I don't know.

When you watch Jimmy batting, I'll bet you'll want to analyze his swing. He did dang well!!! I was impressed and the band members all looked impressed too.
Notice the bat, grip, and stance on the cd insert.

I'm thankful for what we got in the dvd....something is better than nothing. I do love it love it love it...
I enjoyed seeing all the parrothead clips, because that is THE show it seems these days, but I too would like a full show --just done pretty straight forward with clips of the audience like they would show on parrotvision, instead of making those shots the bulk of the show.
I may change my mind after I watch it a few more times!!
Can't wait to see the Coastal Confessions production. Just the way it was sent out for the simulcast event.

I liked the simplicity of the dvd. I also liked the fact that it was Fenway Park, as I have been a Red Sox fan longer than a Buffett fan. (and I first saw Jimmy in 1980) I was talking to the wife last night, remarking on how you get a 2cd set, with a dvd, and it is only 16 dollars and change? I will take that anyday. I thought the dvd was great.

I wasn't disagreeing. That's why I specified content.

Dissapointed also....

While I am happy that my smiling face is all over the DVD footage...I think that JB could afford putting together a better quality DVD. I think a total concert DVD with high quality production will only bring in more folks to see the real deal.

Actually, I was bored with the DVD. I think it was the way it was edited. I was distracted by the daylight, then darkness. Then back to daylight. In other words, it was obvious. I guess if I was at both shows I would feel different.
