USC has a great quarterback, 2 great running backs, and 2 great receivers with a 3rd waiting in the wings, and the best offensive line in college football according to many NFL scouts ....
(2) 1,000 yard rushers and a 3,000 yard passer.....I'd say it's a no brainer
Then again, playing in the Pac-10 doesn't hurt those stats either
according to the sangrin rankings, the PAC-10 played the toughest non-conference schedule of any conference...
3 non conference games...out of 11? Notre Dame was a near loss for them (and probably should have been)....but who else out of conference was so tough? Hawaii (4-6) or Arkansas (3-6)? In conference play, their opponents records total 25-31. Hardly impressive.
Not saying USC's not the best team in the country, because they are. But put them in the SEC, ACC, or Big 10 and they don't win the NC 3 years in a row. Hard to keep up that level of intensity for every game against mostly quality opponents.

they were referring to the conference as a whole. against other conferences schedules as a whole.

Pains me to say it, but I think Texas wins. UT has the offense to go point-for-point with USC and they have a better defense.

I know, a young girl like that and an old guy like me - it could be fatal. But, hey, if she dies, she dies.
